I received this book as a Goodreads First Read.

I normally don't try to read vampire books. They are too overdone and everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon. This being said, I really did enjoy this book.

This is the story about a family of abstainers (do not drink blood), and they failed to inform their children are vampires. One weekend all the hush-ups and lies (both straight-forward and lies of omission) comes pouring out. Not only do the parents keep secrets from their children but also from each other.

The bulk of the story covers four days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday), which makes it an easy read.
