really liked it

Recommended for: people who've got the travel bug

Probably wouldn't have picked up this one for myself, but my mom had bought it after it was recommended to her (for the record, she didn't really like it).

I think it's a timing thing - yes, I found Liz more than a tad self absorbed, but because I'm at the stage where I'm hoping to do some serious traveling, I found this book freeing. The India section was definitely my favourite of the three. At the same time, I was disappointed that it didn't strike me as particularly profound in any way. I guess this one leaves me with mixed feelings, but when it comes down to it, I "really liked it" so I give it 4 stars.
