Read from September 04 to 23, 2011

A very well-edited anthology. It is arranged thematically, not chronologically, so that you read stories touching on similar themes back-to-back-to-back and your experience of each story is colored by the previous one. I really like the approach. My one complaint is that it is quite long and I as much as I love dystopian fiction, I got burnt out toward the end. A slightly shorter collection would have been stronger.

I enjoyed most the stories very much, but my favorite was definitely "Pop Squad," but no so much as an example of dystopian fiction as an insight into what drives parents to become parents. I've never seen this issue approached in quite this way.
