I read this book over the span of a few days and when I wasn't reading it I was thinking about it. Then when I finished it, I spent quite a while imagining what happened to the characters next. Always a sign of a fantastic book. Easily one of my favorite books actually. It took me a bit to get use to McCarthy's style of writing but it was the same as watching a great foreign movie with sub-titles, it was so engrossing that I completely forgot about it.
The book is about a post-apocalyptic future where a man and his son are trying to survive by walking from Middle America to the Coast in hope of finding people/safe haven. That's it. They never discuss the seminal event that brought America to it's current state and after awhile you don't care. I don't want to talk anymore about the plot. Just read it.
