Tries too hard to be funny. The idea of a planet that is claimed by both the Federation and the Klingons that has a unique way of protecting it self is clever, but the humor takes over and for every funny bit there's three or four that are either dumb or make the heroes look dumb.

Did the bit about Kirk's old girlfriends and McCoy speaking the 'scared words'.
