I am not a huge sports fanatic. But Coben's character Myron Bolitar has a way of actually making me actually interested in the subject matter. I started reading his series because I really enjoyed his stand-alone books. Each book in the series covers some different type of sport genre. I have to say that I've learned quite a bit. I really enjoy the guy's wit and especially his sarcasm. So an injured basketball player-turned-sports agent who also does sleuthing may be a stretch. But I find the guy to be quite entertaining. I've read four of his eight books in the series so far, and I've liked them all.
