Wow!This enjoyable picture book is a must read. The fact that is black and white in a world where everything is color make it even more interesting. When I looked at the cover, I was biased because I like color in picture books. After reading it, all I can say is that color is not needed for this particular story. After all, the story happened during a full moon night and everything must look black and white.

The little kitten is inquisitive, brave, persistent, and fast; these are all characteristics that I admire in people and nature.

I enjoy stories that happened in a short period of time just like this one.

I dicovered that the endpages had white circles that first I thought were polka dot circles, after reading the story I realized they represent the full moon of the story. Perfect match of text and illustrations since Kevin Henkes wrote and illustrated this picture book. This fact makes the story a unique construction of knowledge for the reader.
