This book highlights Phil Jackson's last season with the Laker's before retiring.

One of the biggest reasons why I wanted to read this book was I wanted to see Kobe's personality in his feud with Shaq during this season. In addition, I wanted to see how he was during his trial.

With this in mind, Kobe is (or was, not sure how he is now) a big a-hole. I believe he was the biggest distraction for this team during this season with the Lakers and not winning the NBA championship was purely his fault. This team consisted of two future hall of famers (albeit they were almost done with their career at this point) - Karl Malone and Gary Payton. It shows that team chemistry is main ingredient for any team wanting to win games. Big egos cause collapse.

Overall, I thought this book was just all right. The book became mundane with Phil Jackson's game by game analysis. I was expecting more on Phil Jackson's work ethic and his zen habits.
