I enjoyed this book tremendously. If you're a fan of stats, anthropology, trends and really snappy writing, this book is for you. Connie Willis never fails to deliver as a writer, in terms of quality of story, characters, pacing. But this was just an especially fun read because it's all about the study of fads and trends. Oddly enough, as I was finishing this book, a fad was starting in my very own place of work. A really terrifying fad of ugly hats. A case of fiction becoming reality, if there ever was one.
