Read from September 03 to 23, 2011

An excerpt from my upcoming review on The Peorian: "Hitchens is a brilliant writer in that he communicates his ideas intelligently, cleverly and in an interesting and usually surprising way. Even when you don't agree with him, you do find yourself admiring his abilities." The rest will be posted soon on The Peorian.

And speaking of The Peorian, why don't you go check out ThePeorian.com, a new multimedia thingamajig out of Peoria, Ill. We have a website, bi-monthly magazine and a weekly TV show. Best part (for me): I'm in charge of the literary section and pretty much get to do what I want (it's been jokingly dubbed "Kevin writes for himself!"). I also get about two minutes (18 minutes in) on the weekly TV show which airs Sunday and is available on the website. Our first one aired last week and this week's will be even better because I get a real set! But, hey, don't get the opportunity to babble on local TV about book-related things too often, so why not?
