On the Fringe is a story about two friends, Claire and Daniel, who grew up together. When they start to realize they have feelings for one another, Daniel is suddenly shot and killed. Instead of moving on into the afterlife, Daniel finds himself stuck on the Fringe and isn't quite sure what has kept him here, until he realizes it has something to do with Claire. After he saves her life when she almosts drowns in the lake, Claire can see Daniel's ghost and they soon discover her almost death has given them a brief amount of time where they find themselves able to be together. Cue the tears. But along with this heartbreaking romance is a story of mystery. There are forces trying to get in between them and a killer is still on the loose.

Overall, I really liked this story. I was constantly fighting back tears and even was so choked up at a certain point, I had to take a break to compose myself to get through it. There were a few aspects of the storyline that I didn't really feel connected with the story on a whole. And I did find myself wanting more from one scene at the end, but really it was a great read. I couldn't put it down and flew through it.
