I enjoyed this memoir primarily because I could relate to so many parts of it. Bich was a refugee from Vietnam growing up in Michigan in the 80s. She becomes obsessed with food and the perfect American family. She is on;ly a couple years older than me, so much of her story was a reliving of my own childhood. A few areas seemed to drag a bit, but she could always pull it back on course.
