Dave Hanna Americans, as a rule, like to have answers--they don't like not knowing things. In the years before his death, Asimov atttempted to fill in the background story behind his materpiece "Foundation" trilogy, and Forward the Foundation is the final installment of the series. This volume completes the story of Hari Seldon, the man, as it shows how he moved his science of psychohistory forward and how he selected the locations of his two foundations. The story clips along very well, and Asimov provides plenty of "ah-ha!" moments, answering those naggin little questions that readers may have had. All in all, this is a very satisfying piece in the Foundation puzzle.
