really liked it

I loved The Da Vinci Code (don't judge) and the praise for this book describes it as a better version. It's true--especially since this book uncovers the "real" story behind one of my all time faves, Romeo and Juliet. Some of it is fact, most is fiction, the writing isn't particularly mind-blowing, but it's the kind of book I was excited to return to.

“Great love, you believe, carries the seeds of great sorrow. Well, perhaps you are right. Perhaps the wise spurn one to remain safe from the other, but I should rather choose to have my eyes burnt in their sockets than to have been born without.”
