This book is written from the point of view of 'Tuffy' the cat who guides the reader through the daily events of his life. The story follows the typical activities a cat will get up to, such as killing other animals! Tuffys' owners are not pleased with his antics and are quick to blame Tuffy if something goes wrong, however it doesn't seem that tuffy is to blame. This book is a great way to introduce the form of diary entry writing to children. They will not only find the story humerous and interesting it will also demonstrate one of many ways in which a diary entry can be written. A possible extension activity is to get to write what they think will happen in the next diary entry of 'the kiler cat'.
