Recommended for: lovers of science fiction, people who don't suck

This story was originally serialized on the author's website from 2004 to 2007.

In this epic sci-fi tale, Elaine Corvidae weaves universal themes of redemption and acceptance into a fantastic new world with a cast of sympathetic, believable characters, and I seriously wonder how I was able to stand to wait nearly four years for the story's conclusion. It's exciting, smart, and written with a depth that puts many speculative fiction authors to shame. Corvidae's superb storytelling skills grab a hold of you from the first chapter and take you to the novel's grand, satisfying closing words. The only downside is that the story has to end at all, so do yourself a favor and pick up the author's other published works to comfort you when EXILE'S BURN ends. This book is a perfect example of why I'm an unabashed Corvidae-fangirl. A wonderful reading experience from start to finish.
