Even if I hadn't been homebound with the flu, I think I would have read this trilogy in the same amount of time. It (or they?) is shocking, stimulating, incredibly complex, and even unnerving as well as cleverly and intricately written. I can't say I was especially fond of any of the characters, but they - and "they" were a multitude - were certainly striking.
