** spoiler alert ** Part 2 of this series goes back and forth between the two main characters we met in part 1. We have the aimless wandering of Jepperd, who completed the task he had set for himself and now is just utterly hopeless and filled with despair. He drinks, he fights and he remembers. We get his relevant history and begin to understand his current motivations and why he was after Gus. It seems a rescue mission may be happening soon.

We're also following Gus, who's stuck at the militia base where they are experimenting on animal/human hybrids to try to find a cure for the disease, which seems to be linked to these odd births. We learn that there is something special about Sweet Tooth, but we don't yet know what. He may be the key to understanding the disease.
