Imagine Coraline meets The Invention of Hugo Cabret. Malice is that and more. Our protagonists are lured into a dark and dangerous mostly mechanical other-world from which return is rare and comes at a deep cost. The villains who create, run, invent, and illustrate (through the comic book Malice) this alternate reality live in both worlds. There is non-stop action, tension, and terror as the protagonists work in both worlds to understand what is going on, track down and stop the villains, and simultaneously try to avoid their malice.

First in a series, the book definitely leaves you wanting to run out and get a copy of Havoc to see where the story goes next.

This book is good for kids, teens, and adults who like non-stop action, a lot of tension, a few sprinkles of terror, and are okay with some of the story being told in comic book format.
