** spoiler alert **
For those who like comparing books and the movies - my .sister-in-law says (and I agree!) that the only things the movie got right were the names of the characters and some of the settings! The book is a much more convoluted and intellectual read than I had anticipated.
If I could, though, I'd give it 2.5 stars. While I liked the plot and didn't figure it all out at first, it did take me almost 9 weeks to read (it was my bathroom book but I never really got to the point where I HAD to take it out and finish it) Also, there's a few f-words and a semi-graphic rape scene both of which usually bring down my ratings. I'll probably read the others, but I'll wait until I can borrow them from a family member!
