I had this book checked out from the library for a long time before I actually read it. It just sounded so fluffy and girly that I just didn't think I'd like it. The back of the book did absolutely nothing to make me want to read it, but I knew I had to get through it in order to read the rest of the series which I've heard is quite good. I finally read it when I had no other PNR books checked out. It took me five days to get through it and that included a weekend. I normally get through a book this size in two or three days during the week or a day and a half on the weekend. I found myself easily distracted when reading this and was easily able to work through lunch and not feel like I was shafted out of reading that day. With that said, I think the writing was fine and the plot was probably fine if you're into this sort of book, but it just wasn't my thing. I gave it a three because I think it was a decent book for what it was, it just wasn't for me.
