The Passion
by Jeanette Winterson
by Jeanette Winterson
Erm...well....what can I say?? After reading some reviews I was expecting profound words of wisdom and the joining of literature and greatness. Yeah....didn't get any of that.
The story was good I guess. Love struck soldier, dis-enchanted by love!!!!, Love struck woman, dis-enchanted by love!!! Really?? Profound or just plain snoozefest?? The latter I am thinking.
Anyway, I would have given it 2 1/2 stars but that is not an option so I went with the lower, why? Well, I really don't know. The book didn't stick with me, I am already forgetting it and I finished it about half an hour ago!!! I could bump it up to 3 stars just for the fact that it is short, and I read it very quickly, but then again, the quickness of the read was interupted by the snoozing of the reader!!!!!
