it was amazing

An excellent account of growing up in communist Hungary. The author weaves here memories with files of the Hungarian secret police that were released. Her parents were members of the underground when the Nazis controlled Hungary. They then worked as correspondents for U.S. wire services and admired America. They were spied upon and eventually imprisoned. After their release, they immigrated to the U.S.
