It's About...
There was a book called "On the Prowl" that originally featured this novella as well as other stories by other authors. "Alpha and Omega" is the title of Patrica Brigg's novella that kicks off the "Alpha and Omega" series. It's about Charles, the head werewolf's son and Anna, a rare omega werewolf.

I didn't actually read the whole of "On the Prowl" - couldn't locate it, and was too consumed with Briggs alone to focus on the others. Therefore, I'll post the review of her novella under the Alpha and Omega title itself (here) as well as under "On the Prowl".

What I loved...
Super hot romance! I've complained before about Brigg's lack of steam and she makes up for it here! Woopa!

I love Anna! She's a victim, repeatedly and horrifically, but she's still strong and interesting. She doesn't know her own worth but Charles does and that is perhaps a story line that all women would love. Appreciated and treasured as a rare gift - don't we all want that?

Charles
I also loved getting into the character of Charles who has been a background character in the Mercy Thompson series. The strong silent type, intimidating, dominant and lethal. Ultra macho male. And yummy. Did I mention yummy? Love that he's native and has long hair. Slurp. We need more native male characters. That are yummy.

On my mind...
It's not long enough! I know, I know. It's a novella.

Format
Super glad the author decided to continue on and make this into a series, but it does make it hard to read the series in order. It was hard to find a copy of the novella - until (!!) I realized the wonder of my e-reader and simply downloaded it for $3. Oh yeah baby. That was awesome and worth the price and adjustment to this new tech. Ease of book locating - an important factor!
