Finished this in a couple of days. This is a follow on to the last book going back to Rapp's early days with the CIA. The book is very good in fleshing out the back stories of several of the side characters and there is more meat here than in many of the books in the series, at the expense of some of the action that the others have. But the story is very good and this did not bother me at all. What did bother me and what kept me from giving it 5 stars, is the the ending seemed a bit to quick and easily wrapped up. There was none of the usual inventiveness I've come to expect from the end of previous books. I hate to say it, but I wonder if this is related to Vince's illness and the delayed publishing of the book. Still, I highly recommend this and look forward to the next!
