I was not impressed by this book. I felt like there was no real plot and it was rather boring. I also don’t like when books don’t show how a problem is resolved. One second the little tiger cannot read and the next page this conflict is solved. I feel like it gives the wrong idea, that children will wake up one day and all the things they struggle with they will just be able to do. It does not talk about the hard work and practice that goes into all of it. On the other hand it is a very simple book, good for young readers. The pictures were nice and relevant to the story. It would be one of those books that you read to a child and they can read it to you by looking at the pictures. Over all this is not a book I would want to read to a class or my child. I didn’t find anything special or memorable about it.
