Chance (Spenser #23) by Robert B. Parker (G.P.Putnam's Sons 1996)(Fiction - Mystery) is another of Parker's best efforts. This one features Spenser and Hawk in Las Vegas searching for the missing daughter of mobster Julius Ventura. This novel introduces the recurring character Bernard P. Fortunato, a very small but very competent private eye. 6/10, finished 8/28/11.
