Irma Voth travels a very rough road through the book. She was raised in a strict Mennonite home. The book follows her through some difficult experiences. The entire book is written as if it were her journal. No direct quotes. It was difficult to read, but it matched the subject matter. Disturbing scenes and swearing. Not one I would want my kids to read.
