really liked it

Loved this series and I've reread it many times. Discovering that this would be the last book was bitter-sweet but everything was rounded off nicely with a host of new beginnings rather than endings.

Miss Zukas is a memorable, vulnerable, original character. I really liked her even when she did something I wouldn't have. She's got integrity and strength.

Boy Cat Zukas -- would love to stroke him. His name always makes me smile and he's a marvelous character.

Tiny quibble; you can tell this book wasn't proofed in a way Miss Zukas would approve of; many extra spaces, punctuation marks in the wrong place, typos etc. Something I've noticed in a few books recently was 'waive' being used when it should be 'wave'. Here, when finally 'waive' was correct, they used 'wave'. I had to grin.
