really liked it
bookshelves: philosophy, autobiography, commentary

Riveting read. A high-point of individualism, quirky though it be. From a sloppy housekeeper, like Whitman and Pound, who went to a real home for a good meal and the occasional laundry (alas, not part of the narrative). Might want to read R. W. Emerson after or before - a kindred spirit. Very American.
