I found this book extraordinary. Enjoyed almost every minute of it. I believe that it gave an superb picture of the history and controversy surrounding the Manhattan Project without proposing that any one theory was correct. This collection of writings, anecdotes and speeches by the persons involved in the project had no agenda but to put the information out there for those interested in knowing more about the Manhattan project to synthesize for themselves (the bibliography and biographies at the end assist in this task as well). Excellent book.
