Honestly? I'd written off this series after I read book 8 last year. Not because I was sick of it or anything, but because I thought it was over. Sure there was the "didn't find the body" thing, but you'd expect that in the ending of a series like this. But the other day, I was looking for the 2nd Lying Game book and saw book 10 of the PLL series was coming out. Huh? So, I picked up 9.

Well, I did like it. But it's totally just more of the same. Same tricks all over again. Same false leads on who A is. See, these girls need to check out of Rosewood and move far away and start over again because all the people in the town are assholes. It's totally unbelievable. And yet, I still read...

Spencer annoyed the hell outta me in this one. "Bad boy!" "Naughty boy!" Ug! When did she become the vapid one? And who buys Aria with Noel? I liked the slow retelling of what happened in Jamaica, but honestly it was confusing at time, with some of the scenes seeming like they were happening in present-day Rosewood. For a good part of the book, I was thinking "why isn't she telling the girls she saw Tabitha in Rosewood??" And Hanna. Girl. Get some self respect! How do you NOT walk away from that dumbass photoshoot for your dad. You know, the one he and EVERYONE on his staff didn't want you to participate in, but didn't have the decency to tell her before hand and instead lets her get embarrassed in front of the entire crew. Dude.
