it was ok
bookshelves: unfinished, to-read

I wasn't sure about this book right from the beginning. But I kept reading.
I have now reached chapter 4 and decided to stop. I have NOT given up on this one just yet, but I decided to give it some time before I picked it up again.
I think there were too many characters thrown in from page 1 and too little background - who were these people? What is their relation to the main character?. I also had some mixed feelings about the magic and the spells, which I think were just "thrown around" without much planning.

I might be wrong and missing the point, maybe this has the potential to be a bestseller, I don't know. But I'm just not into it right now. As I mentioned a few days ago,I didn't connect with the story.

But I'll get back to it. I don't like to abandon the stories I begin reading and I'm not going to start now. I have rated it 2 stars because that's how I feel about the book until the point I stopped reading it (Chapter 4).
