-what if?

Just imagine a family of four; father and mother, son and daughter. Son, Gregor Samsa, as a salesman, is providing for the whole family.Until one day he finds himself transformed into a bug, an insect. An unexplainable fact...; that happens in his bedroom.

What then when family finds out about the change? how will they feed and treat him? and his job responsibilities?...

Well, compassionate sister takes care of brother-insect; but parents end up returning to a work life. Nevertheless, Samsa still thinks and feels like a human being...going through a progressive sense of abandonment,... by his family members.

And then he dies. Meanwhile, the family has evolved; they feel relieved about the insect's departure from the living ones.
That's the plot.

Samsa´s metamorphosis is just a literary device to allow the reader a closer look into the human psyche; yes, the psyche of those relatives of the bug. And the bug's (Samsa) psyche too.
