Laura is an ex-prostitute, sold into that lifestyle after the death of her parents. Now she's rebuilding her life. She owns a respectable boardinghouse in Glory, Texas, and passes herself off as the Widow Foster, hoping no one discovers her secret. Brand is the local reverend, with two children and an unmarried sister to take care of. He has his own secrets to keep.

There's nothing really overly surprising here. It's a classic frontier romance, but the characters make the story great. I loved the antics of Brand's kids, and it was easy to care for both Laura and Brand.
