Quite a disappointment, reading this after Clockers. As I see it, the only thing the book has going for it is the premise, which is interesting on some levels and worthy of discussion to an extent, but Price doesn't translate that premise into a viable book. The characters were difficult to latch onto, and their actions often seemed strange and well, out of character. The only thing that kept me going was a desire to find out what had happened, and although that kept me plowing on for an extra 100 pages or so, eventually I threw in the towel and read the wikipedia summary. It seemed that pointless.
