This is probably one of my favourite YA books I have read in a while. Why? Well, I liked the realism of this novel, they were ordinary kids living ordinary lives and I found it intriguing, heartfelt, and current. There were aspects of the book that I could relate to and I think that the majority of people reading it will have that feeling too.
It was very well written, sometimes the references to places or movies quotes was rather cheesy but not enough to put me off. What teen hasn't or isn't going through school teen angst?? Even when I was in school (a little while ago) peer pressure and cliques were every day occurances, but in today's society I think it has increased ten fold, and to read a book that delves into the pressures of being a teen was refreshing and very brave.
