it was amazing

My favorite part of this book was when Bobo found his mom. Even though the author used very few words, you could feel how happy they were to see each other again. It's hard to imagine losing someone that you love, then seeing other people being loved by their version of who you lost.

I think that even though the author only used 3 different words throughout the entire book, it worked well. The pictures helped by showing Bobo's emotions while he looked for his mom, and letting you see how by each small family he passed, he got more and more sad.

The themes for this book are love and journey. Bobo loves his mom so journeys out to find her when he loses her in the jungle. So, as he journeys through the forest, he is brought down by all the other children with their moms, but his love for his mom keeps him going until he is reunited with her in the end.
