Blade of fire is 574 pages and is was written by Stuart Hill. The setting of this book took place in a kingdom of Ice Mark and in the Desert kingdom. The story is told in first person and is about a young boy named Charlement. Charlement or Sharley is a young prince of the age of 14 he is son to Oskan the witch father and Thirrin Queen of Ice Mark, at the age of 9 Sharley was hit by polio but luckily his father saved him but it made it so one of his legs is crippled and causes him to have a limp. Because of this his parent completely baby him so he never learns to fight like his brothers and sister (although he does have a sister who is a witch) so when a war is about to happen his parents send him and all of the refugees to the desert kingdom to be safe and makes Sharley in charge of them. But when he's sent away his teacher Maggie has a plan to make allies with the Desert kingdom and come back to help Ice Mark in the war. One of my favorite quotes is Sharley: well if I'm going to be imprisoned in this wooden barrel for all that time i might as well see how it works. What i like about this book is all the action and excitement, the book is never boring. I would recommend this book to anybody from 12 and up.
