I learned that we can get so much more from greens than I thought-namely protein. I always knew that getting more greens was important to a healthy diet, but this book taught me how to do it easily. In the book, there are many claims about benefits of drinking greens in smoothies the author calls "green drinks"--everything from helping you lose weight to battling depression(who knows?). I tried the green drinks myself and am happy with the results I am getting because I feel like my energy level has gone up. I also have always agreed that food is the best drug for healing. I feel like I am giving my bod the TLC it needs while training for a marathon in Oct. I crave the drink every morning.
