really liked it
bookshelves: intrigue, political-fiction, suspense, thriller, crime
Read from June 20 to November 14, 2013

I first read this about 10-15 years ago, and this helped me to become an avid Baldacci reader if not outright fan.

I loved the way Baldacci made me care for the protagonists and/or good guys, and made me hate the bad guys...much like an actor who makes you love or hate their character, I feel an author who does this has done their job well! The action grabbed me right of the bat, turning a simple burglary into a massive conspiracy of the highest order. The systematic and deliberate way, the antagonist and his team go about covering their tracks and erasing witnesses/people kept me hooked till the very end!

I would recommend this to thriller fans, still a relevant and entertaining read.
