really liked it
bookshelves: dickian, speculative-fiction, coming-of-age, weird-western, post-apocalyptic, favorites

awkward. You could call this a space western, post-apocalyptic, dystopian, coming-of-age, young adult, post-modern, science-fiction, horror, terraforming, etc.... Reminds me some of odd worlds Philip K Dick's Game Players of Titan or Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldrich.

A good read, and awkward. I recommend it if you are tired of happy endings, tired of the predictable, tired of fast-paced action that is formulaic in the end.
