The advice was good and well-presented, however, I found it difficult to put into action. My children never reacted in the same way as those presented in the book. Maybe when they are older they will respond better--or maybe I just need more practice.

Mimi oh, they won't respond right away, I wish they would. I think the biggest point for me was not to respond negatively right away. It is training me first and then train them instead of just training the "difficult to handle" kid. After reading it nothing worked right away but I was able to gain more trust from William which helped me in other difficult situations, plus it's geared toward kids you can reason with, (not Peter, that's for sure :)
