it was ok
bookshelves: fantasy, fiction

Mythago wood is seriously a weird story. I don't know what to make of it at the end of the day. All of the main characters are mythical figures who come from the roots of human consciousness, 'mythagos.' I guess I wasn't too thrilled with that as a plot point. It was hard for me to root for the hero, when he was basically driving himself further and further into insanity in a sense. I think the idea of falling in love with creations out of one's own brain doesn't really appeal to me. Still, a very novel and unusual idea.

Mary-Beth It was definitely an original story and it seems to fit with the idea you mentioned.
