Read from August 22, 2011 to September 11, 2014

Very different from the Dennis Lehane's contemporary crime genre. Set in Boston im the aftermath of the First World War the parallel stories of undercover cop Danny Coughlin and fugitive Luther Lawrence, who just happens to be working in his household,, this finely crafted story of a city in meltdown is an exceptional piece of historical fiction, crime thriller writing, and study of human emotions. Strongly recommended.
