This book is truly just a journal about Oliver Sack's trip to Oaxaca. It's not as interesting as the other Sacks books I've read. The read is quick but unless you're totally into ferns it's not a page turner. It is good in the sense that it's like a long letter a friend of yours writes about his trip. It is mostly exciting because Sacks is so enthusiastic about the topic. I'd recommend it if you're planning a trip to Mexico or a conservatory of flowers... probably in one or two sittings on the train or plane you're taking to said location.
