This is they type of book I need to be in the mood for before reading. The conflict is completely internal. These folks all go on an emotional journey that is beautifully written.

The majority of our story is back story. We learn about our characters through conversations and flashbacks. We did get some brilliant scenes and some extremely sexy ones.

I could appreciate the writing, but I could put the book down without regret. This was a story that didn't drive me to finish it like a lot of other great books I've read do. I think because nothing was happening in the moment, that all the action was internal, that I was able to leave the story.

The writing took me on a long winding journey, and when I am in an introspective mood, or looking to loose myself in a book on a lazy day, this would fit the bill.

Definitely took me someplace different in my reading.

3.5 stars.
