This was an entertaining, light read about someone I really admire both personally and professionally. There were many parts that made me laugh, think, and quote to my family as I was reading it and I'm glad I did.
There were some nice insights into the entertainment business and I really enjoyed hearing about her career and life in general.
You can tell that she is a singer and actress, not a writer and though I'm sure Joni helped, I still found the narrative somewhat confusing, as it tended to jump from one thing to another and then back to the first thing. There was also some metaphores and phrasing that made me cringe. Overall though it was a good attempt and a pleasing read. I was glad that she didn't skip over certain challenging parts of her life and her career and you really became aware of her as a whole person with flaws who has made mistakes and kept going. You could really hear her voice telling the story. I reccomend it to anyone who is a fan of Kristin Chenoweth
