Read from August 21 to 23, 2011

The first half to two-thirds of the book was pretty boring for me. In general, I enjoyed the chapters told from the old man's perspective because they were more insightful and interesting than learning about life on the circus. The last part of the book really up-ed the stakes and drama ensued, which kept me interested. I chugged through the first part thinking "this is a 2-star book" and ended with a "this is a 4 star book" so I gave it my aggregated average rating.

Shannon I really liked this book, even though it made me very depressed about getting old.
