I picked this book because Jeff and I and Jeff David and his family spent a week on Folly Beach and we loved it!!!!! I have happened to read 3 books almost in a row where the woman is left penniless after her husband cheats people. WEIRD! The woman in question, Cate Cooper, her husband dies and it comes to light that everything is owned by the bank because he was in debt big time and she had no idea. She goes back to Folly Beach where she was raise by her aunt to regroup and figure out how she will support herself. Her aunt owns rental properties which Cate helps her manage and lives in one known for being the summer rental of Dorothy and DuBose Heyward while they collaborated with George Gershwin to write the musical Porgy and Bess. Cate not only finds a way to support herself but a lot more important things. No spoiler alert.
